GriefShare is a national faith-based organization that forms grief support groups for those who have lost loved ones to death to help them in the healing process. Chapel of the Cross is once again offering GriefShare two times, Tuesdays from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., and Thursdays from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., starting January 3 and 5, 2023. If you have lost a loved one, we hope you will consider exploring the hope and healing that GriefShare has offered to so many others. If you know of someone in a grief situation, tell them about this. It doesn’t matter how long ago the loss has been. Contact Bill Rusnak at 314-741-3737 for more information or to register.
The theme verse for GriefShare is from Jeremiah 31:13, “I will turn their mourning to joy; I will comfort them and give them gladness for sorrow.” Each of the 14 sessions of GriefShare uses three forms of communication to help you move from mourning to joy. First is a video presentation in which others talk to you, including experts in the field of grief recovery and those going through grief. Second is a group discussion where participants talk to and support each other. Third, there are daily workbook exercises in which God talks to you and you talk to God.
